David M. Heath
Project Manager
I always wanted to know how things worked. I was always building something or helping my family build something. Then, I can remember watching a wooded area turn into a new park/athletic fields and I knew that’s what I wanted to do. Plus, Penn State had a great civil engineering program.
At Gateway, I am a Project Manager, first and foremost, but also enjoy meeting new people, creating a large professional network, and assisting in business development. I also perform the function of market segment leader for our Real Estate Development - Commercial sector, am a Supervisor, and, finally, I am also a shareholder of the company. My work history began in Destin, Florida for the firm Wilson Miller until 2010. I worked on several residential and commercial projects through the gulf coast region. I joined Gateway in 2010 as a Project Engineer, became a Project Manager in 2013, and became a shareholder in January of 2018.
When not at work I enjoy anything I can do outside, fitness-related, and chasing the kids around. I love being in the woods at camp, riding quads, canoeing, hunting, fishing, etc. Count me on anything competitive, as well - I can't seem to get that out of my system. Finally, anything Penn State! I take pride in the fact my 2-year-old has to scream Penn State every time she sees the Nittany Lion.
