William Lestitian Named to In-house General Counsel Role
Pittsburgh attorney, William (Bill) E. Lestitian, was named general counsel at Gateway Engineers, Inc. (Gateway), a Pittsburgh-based, fully integrated engineering firm. Jason D. Jesso, Gateway’s chief executive officer, made the announcement. Lestitian formally assumed the position on October 2, 2023.
“Bill has been a long-time legal advisor to Gateway, and a key member of Gateway’s board for over 12 years,” stated Jesso. “As clients drive our continued growth, both here in the Pittsburgh area and throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, it was time for us to bring Bill in-house to leverage his experience, full-time. With Bill onboard, our leadership team has added a key strategic player who adds both legal and financial expertise.”
Prior to joining Gateway, Lestitian served as chief executive officer and managing shareholder at Rothman Gordon, P.C., where he advised closely held and family-owned businesses. This year, Lestitian was named Pittsburgh Lawyer of the Year in Business Organizations by Best Lawyers in America. Civically and politically active, Lestitian has served on the Allegheny County Council, and as board chair of many Pittsburgh-based non-profit organizations including Achieva, Seton-LaSalle High School and the Lions Club of Pittsburgh. Lestitian attended the University of Notre Dame for undergraduate studies and received his law degree, with distinction, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
“When Jason asked me to join Gateway, it seemed like a natural transition,“ said Lestitian. “I’ve worked with Gateway for over 30 years, and closely with Jason and his leadership team during the past few years as the firm has experienced rapid growth. Focusing on a single company, and one with which I have so much history, made my decision to say ‘yes’ an easier one.”
