Jacob S. Sutton

Project Manager
From a young age, I have always been fascinated with the outdoors and the environment. After obtaining my associate degree in environmental science, I found that furthering my education and pursuing a career in civil and environmental engineering would provide me with the opportunity to positively impact the environment and my community.

I began my career at Gateway in July of 2020 as an Engineering Assistant. Since my start date, along with obtaining my Engineer-In-Training and Pennsylvania Sewage Enforcement Officer (SEO) certifications, I have worked on a wide variety of projects such as field surveying, civil engineering site design, stream restoration design, environmental permitting, septic system design and permitting, and performing the regulatory SEO function for various municipalities, to name a few.

Most of my time outside of work is spent pursuing my love of the outdoors by fishing, hunting, cooking wild game, hiking, archery, and training my Brittany Spaniel, Kona, in the art of upland bird hunting. My wife and I are also remodeling our first home, which keeps me busy!
